We are excited to announce that 2018 brings a year of change for the Modern Mini Magazine. This year at Mini In The Park we will be unveiling the rebranded magazine - Performance Mini! To support the launch we are also giving you the chance to feature. If you think your Mini is worthy of a feature, you are part of a club that holds regular meets or you just have an idea for the magazine we want you to get in touch with the team by emailing: performanceMINI.email@example.com.
To give you an idea of what the new magazine and new editor have in store we caught up with Jamie King and asked him what he and the team have planned for this new project:
“Readers can still expect to find the same great content covering the MINI scene that they’ve become accustom too with Modern MINI. Indeed, Modern MINI editor, Martyn Collins, will still be heavily involved with the re-branded magazine in his new role as Editor-at-Large and will be able to keep readers bang up to date with all the latest developments in the new MINI scene.
“As you’ve probably guessed from its new name, Performance MINI will focus primarily on the performance-orientated models and modifications. We aim to bring readers the very best modified MINI feature cars from all over the UK (and beyond) – expect to see everything the modified MINI scene has to offer.
“In addition to the latest and greatest feature cars, Performance MINI will also offer detailed advice on buying, owning, and tuning a MINI – sourced direct from the experts and delivered in an entertaining and informative package. Whether it’s step-by-step fitting instructions, product reviews, comprehensive tuning guides, buying advice, regular maintenance tips, or showing readers the best upgrades to make for their budget, Performance MINI will bring the very best knowledge direct to your door.
“Of course, the incredibly healthy MINI club and motorsport scenes won’t be overlooked either. We’ll be following the various MINI owners’ clubs and enthusiast groups, attending all the biggest MINI shows and events, and covering plenty of ‘MINI in Motorsport’ action too.
“The new name brings the magazine in line with current times (the earliest MINIs are now 18 years old, which is hardly ‘modern’) and will provide MINI fans with all the latest news, reviews, technical advice, and, of course, the very best feature cars from all over the UK. If you’re a MINI fan, you’re going to love it!”
The very first issue of Performance MINI magazine will be on sale at MITP 2018, so make sure you head over to the magazine stand to pick up your copy!
